The awards ceremony will be held at the CornellĂ  Auditorium, marking the conclusion of this initiative for the third consecutive year. The event is promoted by the CornellĂ  City Council through the ProcornellĂ  Business Center and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) with the aim of recognizing and giving visibility to the most innovative companies created between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2023, in the Barcelona metropolitan area in each of the four categories.

Female-led Startups

In the category of best business project led by women, the finalist startups are: BCome (Barcelona), which has created an intelligent digital methodology for managing global sustainability in the fashion industry, tracking, measuring, and evaluating over 1 million products on the market; Virmedex (Barcelona), designer and creator of video games with virtual reality and artificial intelligence for training health professionals; and Weylai Form (Barcelona), which develops and manufactures programmable STEAM devices for educating primary and secondary school children in IoT and robotics.

We are pleased to announce that Scratch Barcelona, by Weylai Form S.L., has been selected as a finalist in the category of best business project led by women for the 2024 Metropolitan Business Innovation Awards. The company is not only involved in education but also designs and manufactures programmable #STEAM devices, like MochiCard, designed to train primary and secondary school children in the internet of things and robotics.
